The most important part of installing a ceramic coating is the preparation.
Step 1: Exterior Detail
We begin every ceramic coating service with an indulgent exterior detail designed to elevate your vehicle's appearance. Our process includes a thorough hand wash using pH-balanced shampoos, followed by a gentle cleansing of all intricate areas like emblems and trim. This prepares the vehicle for the next steps in the decontamination process.
Step 3: Clay Bar Treatment
Play doh? Not quite. Automotive clay is designed specifically to follow up after an iron removal process to pull the embedded contamination out of your paint. This gets the paint incredibly smooth and free of contamination before polishing. We take this piece of clay, roughly the size of your hand, wiping it back and forth over every painted surface until the paint is smooth to the touch.
Step 2: Iron Fallout Removal
Iron Remover is a very potent chemical designed to dissolve and dislodge embedded iron particles and other stubborn contamination that does not get removed during a typical wash. The entire vehicle is covered in this substance and we allow it to dwell for 3-5 mins to really break down the existing contamination before moving to the next step.
Step 4: Paint Correction
We use a machine polisher to level your paint's clearcoat and reduce or fully remove the appearance of scratches. In person consultation will be used to determine final expectations and goals for this portion of the coating.
Step 5: Final Preparation
The entire vehicle is wiped down with a specially designed formula (specific to CCI Advance coating) to dissolve any residue from polishing and ensure the paint is completely clean and bare for ceramic coating application.
